Your Cat Is Special

ACANA benefits cats of every variety. Just like you, your cat is unique and feeding requirements will vary with environment, age, and activity. The table below provides a starting point, to be adjusted as needed. We recommend feeding twice daily and always keeping fresh water available.

Unique compared to conventional foods, ACANA delivers more calories from protein and fat and fewer calories from carbohydrates, reducing the risk of obesity and promoting your cat’s peak health.

  That’s why we loaded ACANA Wild Prairie with 75% meat from free-run chicken % turkey and wild-caught fish, as well as cage-free eggs.

  Free of grains or gluten, ACANA derives its rich protein content from animal ingredients, not plants, supporting lean muscle mass and nourishing your cat completely.

  We use fresh meat in its most natural and nourishing form. That’s why ½ of the poultry and fish in ACANA Wild Prairie is fresh, and 1/2 is dried or oils to provide a concentrated source of nourishing meat protein.

• Your cat has no nutritional requirement for carbohydrates and his natural diet contains very few, if any. Carbohydrates are widely recognized as a leading cause of obesity and diabetes – yet conventional cat foods often exceed 50% carbohydrate content.
